Rush revere and the Brave Pilgrims, By: Rush Limbaugh, science fiction

I have recently started reading a new book: “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims” by Rush Limbaugh. So far, this book is about a substitute history teacher named Rush Limbaugh who is teaching an eager class of middle school students. When Rush substituted, he brought along his talking time traveling horse. Rush wants to make this class unforgettable so he leaves the class with his horse named Liberty so they can time-travel back and climb aboard the Mayflower. But, Rush wasn’t careful enough when he was caught in the hallway by 2 students, Freedom and Tommy. He refuses to lie to them so, he takes them with him and they witness some things that they will never forget.

A conflict that the main characters had to face in this story is their wording during their time travel. For example, when Rush said, “I’m Rush Revere and I look forward to visiting with you more on the Mayflo-.” When Rush said this, he remembered that the Mayflower did not exist yet and he was on the Speedwell. This shows that whatever Rush Revere was going to say, had to be thought of before he said it so the pilgrims wouldn’t suspect something is going on. Another example of a conflict in this book was the clutter of people on the Mayflower. Most of these people were rather seasick or diseased. So, Rush, Freedom, and Tommy had to be careful not to get sick from any of these people because they had very serious diseases from being on the ship for 62 days. Rush also had to beware of the mob of people so that no one sees him flash back to the future. If they do see him Rush could be captured or people aboard the Mayflower would get VERY suspicious. All in all, I think that there were a lot of conflicts that the main characters had to face in the book, “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims.”
